  • Overview
  • Key Features

Our best-practice and theory courses for Design & Simulation introduce the technology, explain what is behind the ‘black box’ of engineering software and provide practical advice on how to get good results from any software or consulting investments you have made. These courses are ‘software-neutral’ and therefore will be relevant to your company independent of which software product you use in-house or by your consultants. We can deliver our training courses to you on-line using web conferencing facilities. However, in most cases we believe that our delegates receive the most effective training experience through face-to-face interaction with our tutors, undistracted by the daily work environment. To make our live training courses as cost and time effective as possible, we have developed concise sessions that provide the essential knowledge in a day. If our scheduled dates are not convenient, we can re-run these courses to suit your time scales at our training facilities, local venues or on-site. Training Services Overview >>

  • Tuition is by our team of consulting engineers with daily experience solving real-life industrial analysis issues
  • Our tutors attend ‘Train the Trainer’ courses to ensure their teaching methods are effective
  • Although scheduled dates are normally available, we can also run these courses on dates convenient to you subject to arrangement
  • Training can be held at one of our offices, on-site or at a venue local to you
  • Central training facility only 15 minutes from Manchester Airport and 5 minutes from Stockport railway solution
  • Training can be combined with consulting as part of a Technology Transfer project
  • Attendance on our courses may contribute towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) –  check with your professional institution

Manufacturing research is crucial for advancements in quality, production and in reducing the costs associated with the manufacture of parts. Finite element analysis is a powerful tool used to assist this process. DEFORM FE software has been used as a tool to more effectively understand the machining process and additionally the support provided by the James Farrar and his team at Wilde Analysis has always been exceptional.

University of Sheffield (AMRC)

…competency of the tutor as a genuine FE consultant made it very useful & practical learning experience.

Advanced Engine Technology

Good tailor-made course conducted at our pace….Wilde course is excellently presented and the tutor was very knowledgeable.

Hubbell

…..was pleased with the training – it was just the right stepping stone for the career development plans we have for him this year and he was complimentary about the style and material. We’ll bear you in mind for future training provision.

Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery

Excellent course…..A fantastic refresher of key aspects of design for moulding, plus a gentle yet thorough introduction to the capabilities of the software.

Depuy Synthes

Great course, knowledgeable tutor. Perfect for me after ten years of studying FEA at university.

Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (Narec)

The course should be a requirement for anyone beginning plastics design. The basic principals of good design were clearly outlined, as well as an excellent introduction to the capabilities of Moldflow. Everything was explained clearly and comprehensively and I learned a lot... Good mix of theory and practical. Shown very many features and have good manuals to help me through in future.

Schrader Electronics

An essential course for the injection molding trade. Well laid out and very easy to follow. Definitely recommended for injection molding/anyone working with polymers.

Denroy Plastics

The content of the course was perfectly tailored to our applications & level of detail required. I like the teaching style of introducing the broad topics in their basics & then going through each again in the next level of detail & then again at a higher level. Each time you feel like you know about the topic & can build on it which is very confidence inspiring... great technique.

Red Bull Technology

Excellent course pitched at the level we required……..The course was aimed at mechanical engineers who have access to software or results. It was a great insight into dangers of not understanding FEA and its results.

AMEC (Clean Energy – Europe)

Course provided important information that myself and colleagues have been concerned about when approaching FEA procedures. Knowledge and technique learned will be immediately used in all future projects.

Tata Steel Strip Products

... without the training & modelling techniques developed by Wilde, it would have been extremely difficult to predict the behaviour of the IR pre-heat oven. ... professional and exceeded the requirements set in the original brief, with extensive communication via meetings, e-mails and telephone conversations.

Glasscoat International

Excellent course! ... Brilliant refresher course for those who have not used FEA day to day and need to refresh on understanding of fundamentals.
