Heat is normally generated as part of the normal function of a product, in order to prevent damage the heat needs to be removed or the product needs to be kept heated in order to work correctly.
Controlling temperature is critical to the efficiency, reliability, safety and durability of many products and processes.
By using Simulation we can improve the thermal management of products and processes by enabling engineers to understand the root cause of thermal problems so they can correct them.
Simulation also makes it practical to evaluate a wide range of alternative designs to optimise the design and ensure its safety under many different operating scenarios.
Single physics solutions with relatively simple physical models are sufficient for some thermal management challenges however many thermal management applications do not meet all of the assumptions on which the simpler models are based.
