Implementation of ANSYS for Flexible Coupling Analysis at Bibby Transmissions

Having provided previously FEA consulting services, Wilde assisted the implementation of ANSYS Workbench technology within Bibby Transmissions through the supply of software, training and technical support. The use of ANSYS in-house has enabled Bibby to quickly validate and optimise their designs directly from their Solid Edge CAD models.

The Company

The Bibby Transmissions Group (now Bibby Turboflex) has been a market leader in flexible couplings and engineering solutions for rotating equipment continually for over 80 years. These couplings and other products may be found in steel mills, mining, power stations, water treatment and chemical processing plants, and other arduous conditions where reliable protection against shaft misalignment, high speeds, vibration and shock problems is required.
