Switch to dongle-less licensing with the PLAXIS CONNECT Edition V20

With the joint release of PLAXIS 2D CONNECT Edition V20 and PLAXIS 3D CONNECT Edition V20, geotechnical analysis enters Bentley’s CONNECTED Data Environment (CDE): an open, integrated framework to enable collaboration, improve decision making, and deliver better project outcomes and better performing assets. Bentley’s open CDE supports collaborative digital workflows, where data captured or created for one purpose can also be used by other applications thereby saving time, minimizing rework, and improving data quality over the asset lifecycle.

Subscription Entitlement Service (SES) Licensing

The new PLAXIS releases use the same licensing system as the rest of the applications in your Bentley Playbook. SES Licensing provides a unique ID throughout all Bentley applications, removing the need for dongle keys and manual license version management. Additionally, access personal learning material, paths and history, timely product related news, automatic product updates, and notifications.

The CONNECT Editions of PLAXIS with the new dongle-less licensing called Subscription Entitlement Service and the new features are available through Bentley’s Software Downloads page.

Typically, your IT manager will first need to register your company email address and will grant you access to all the services and entitlements that you should have access to. In this case, you will need to sign in to Connection Client with your email and a password provided by your IT manager. Once signed in, you will have access to your CONNECT services and entitlements.
