Reducing injection molding cycle time is a crucial concern for manufacturers, as it can maximize the efficiency of production and minimize the cost. There are three stages that can be optimized: filling, packing, and cooling. Filling time can be optimized from a pressure U-curve plot. The packing stage can be optimized by checking the gate freeze time. Cooling is typically the longest stage of the injection molding cycle, so optimizing it with the Time to Reach Ejection Temperature result can go a long way towards reducing overall cycle time. Learn how to optimize your injection molding process cycle times by tuning in!

Webinar highlights:

  • Evaluate the balance between shear heating and cooling during the fill stage
  • Determine gate freeze time during the pack stage
  • Recognize cooling time required to eject the part during the cooling stage
