Optimised Battery Cooling System for Extreme Performance | Webinar
  • 10th October 2018
    4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Volkswagen Motorsport shattered the time record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with their first-ever, fully electric race car, the I.D. R Pikes Peak — a next-generation race car developed with ANSYS simulation solutions. Volkswagen Motorsport engineers conducted complete virtual drive tests of the entire race and optimized the battery cooling system with minimal weight and aerodynamic drag loss.

Attend this webinar to learn how VW Motorsport used ANSYS Fluent to design and optimize the battery pack for the race’s extreme performance requirements. An optimal design helped VW win the race and break the record for electric vehicles by a full 15 seconds!
