PLAXIS 2D is becoming the foremost tool for the analysis of deformation and stability in geotechnical engineering.
By attending this one-day course, delegates will be tutored in how to build and assess many of the most common geotechnical structures within PLAXIS 2D.
Fundamental techniques in building, running and analysing finite element models will be covered. The influence of material model choice, pore pressures and seepage will be discussed. Hands on workshops will be utilised in order to develop practical experience of the use of PLAXIS 2D.
This course is presented by Dr Andrew Mar B.Eng. (Hons.) Ph.D. C.Eng. MICE FGS.
Andrew is Technical Director at CECL Global with over 30 years experience in the numerical modelling of soils and effective use of PLAXIS.

The course is also useful to people wanting to gain awareness of the possibilities and opportunities that geotechnical finite element analysis present.
