Automotive Supply Chain Seminar: Best Practice for Injection Moulding Design
Castle Bromwich, Chester Road
- 6th November 2019
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Automotive is changing, are you equipped to keep pace?
The automotive industry is being challenged to revolutionise entire platforms with complex designs delivered in ever diminishing timescales, where success requires the full support of the supply chain.
Simulation helps mitigate the risks of manufacturing defects, ensuring right first time performance, with reduced lead times on new tooling projects
There is no value in box-ticking exercises, the benefits of simulation can only be fully realised with proper results interpretation.
Join our exclusive seminar to learn best practices for interrogating both Moldex3D and Moldflow analysis reports.
Benefits of Attending:
- Improve your understanding of mould flow results and how to assess model quality
- Identify and eliminate flow defects through process and mould design
- Analyse and mitigate plastic part warpage
- Meet key Jaguar Land Rover stakeholders and peers
- Discuss improving collaboration within the Jaguar Land Rover supply chain
Network with leading Jaguar Land Rover stakeholders for an opportunity to gain valuable insight about their strategies to get the best out of simulation and maximise productivity.
Optional Manufacturing Tour
We have a limited number of complimentary places on a Manufacturing Tour of the Jaguar Land Rover factory during the afternoon, available to delegates who book early.
Places on this tour are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please select on the form opposite if you are interested in this option.
Who Should Attend?
This one-day live event, suitable for both engineering and commercial staff, is aimed at automotive-focused suppliers of plastic components.
This event commences at 9:00 am with registration. Please view the agenda at the top of this page for the day’s schedule.
Following the manufacturing tour, there are further opportunities to network after 3:00pm
For those not attending the tour or having to leave early, the main event finishes at around 2:00 pm.
£150, including lunch and refreshments.
Louis Barnes, Principal Engineer
Louis leads the Manufacturing Simulation engineering team at Wilde Analysis. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. As a Moldex3D Certified Expert Instructor and a Moldflow Certified Expert, Louis delivers training courses from introductions to injection moulding simulation through to advanced analysis techniques, in addition to Wilde’s plastics analysis consulting team.
