In Ansys 2021 R1, Ansys Mechanical now enables a new workflow for short fiber composite components.
In this webinar, we will showcase the short fiber workflow, which includes three-dimensional fiber orientations from injection modeling software vendors that are imported and mapped seamlessly into Ansys Mechanical.
In the process we capture material behavior through multiscale analysis with Ansys Material Designer. Joining us will be a representative from Thyssenkrupp Presta, one of the largest manufacturers of automotive steering systems, discussing how they used composites to reduce their product weight by 50% compared to an aluminum cast component. This reduction is critical in light of the new, strict environmental standards influencing the future of the automotive field.
