In 2024 R1, the Structures Product Line delivers new features and capabilities enabling users to efficiently solve larger, more complex models. This release also contains a variety of cross-product enhancements to streamline and support end-to-end noise, vibration, and harshness simulations, including a dedicated meshing workflow, general performance improvements and enhancements to Ansys LS-DYNA. Below are some highlights of developments made in the 2024R1 version of Ansys.
Improved Access and Interaction
-
Improved Access and Interaction
New dark and light interface themes leveraging Ansys Design Language maintain a consistent user experience across Ansys products.
The standalone version of Mechanical adds flexibility to users when opening and interacting with Mechanical.
Flexibility to open through Workbench for complex analyses or standalone for single-model analyses.
-
Solve Larger, More Complex Models
A one billion degree of freedom low-pressure gas turbine assembly model was solved using the latest enhancements in the Sparse Direct Solver on 1,334 cores.
Demonstrates the speed and robustness of the Sparse Direct Solver when handling huge, complex models.
-
Noise Vibration and Harshness
Dedicated acoustics meshing workflow reduces the total meshing time of complex geometries by 12X, by streamlining the meshing process.
Performance improvements of 5-50X, in terms of memory, solve time, and disk space, with frequency-based acoustics adaptivity, a new load mapping architecture, and order-based harmonic analysis for frequency spacing.
To fully support end-to-end NVH workflows, all capabilities of Ansys Sound Pro and Ansys LS-DYNA acoustics solvers are now included in Mechanical Enterprise.

Ansys LS-DYNA
The Keyword Manager is an add-on enabling advanced usage of LS-DYNA keywords from within the mechanical user interface. Most LS-DYNA keyword cards can be created, viewed, modified, and deleted as part of model building process using the keyword Manager. Each keyword card data form is designed to appear as it is documented in the LS-DYNA Keyword Manual.
Transfer data, including deformed geometry positions and stress state, between multiple LS-DYNA analyses with the new multisystem analysis linking method.
Share model data.
Results are used for the initialisation of the following simulation.
Release of the R15 LS-DYNA solver version, introducing a new eigenmodes solver for large models with many modes computed. This solver is more accurate with faster performance when compared to the traditional Lanczos solver.
How can we help?
Simply choose one of the following options for more information or to arrange an informal, no-obligation discussion on your requirements.
From an initial phone call we can often give you an idea of price and time scales.
With subsequent details, we can then send you some solution ideas, scopes of work and a formal quotation.
