David Deakin, BSc CEng FIMechE

Managing Director, at Wilde since 1986

After becoming a Mechanical Engineering graduate and Chartered Engineer,  David completed a Technical Apprenticeship and worked on the design and analysis of construction machinery before joining Wilde  as a Senior Engineer.

As a respected and experienced engineering practitioner, David has also worked as an Interim Director for Wilde clients.

Shakeel Chaudry, BEng MSc CEng MRAeS

Technical Director, at Wilde since 1996.

With a background in aerospace engineering, Shakeel has 20 years of structural mechanics experience including the modelling of composite materials. 

In addition to managing Wilde’s technical team, he has been responsible for developing Wilde’s training services and best practice courses. Shakeel is also an associate tutor for NAFEMS on their finite element courses.

Dr Simon Leefe, BA (Oxon) PhD CEng FIMechE AMIChemE

Technical Director, at Wilde since 2006

With an Oxford University degree in Engineering Science, practical and professional training with GEC Turbine Generators and a PhD in blood flow though artificial heart valves , Simon has spent over 25 years in commercial Research and Development and consultancy, specialising in fluid flow and solid mechanics.

He is an internationally recognised expert in fluid sealing, a very experienced mathematical modeller and both a developer and accomplished user of engineering analysis tools.

Dr Brian Miller, BEng EngD CEng FIMechE

Sales & Marketing Director, at Wilde since 1997

Following an apprenticeship with the Dowty Group and a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, Brian started as a Product Development Engineer at Dowty Seals in 1992, involved in the finite element analysis of elastomeric sealing components. To develop his career in computer aided engineering, he returned to academia to complete an engineering doctorate research project at University of Manchester in 1997, writing an FEA-based metal forming simulation program for ABB Daimler Benz. 

Brian is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, currently serving on the UK Steering Group of NAFEMS.
