History

Formed in 1980 as Finite Elements Ltd, our company has been involved in the application of advanced engineering methods throughout our growth and development, with engineering simulation and risk management still at the forefront of our activities.

Wilde Analysis was formed in April 1980 as a company called Finite Elements Ltd by David Wilde and colleagues at University of Swansea. Focusing on the knowledge transfer of academic FEA & CFD developments into industry, the company quickly became a consultancy for the rapidly growing nuclear sector within the North West of England.

From 1987, the company started supplying commercial simulation software from leading international developers and broadened to serve most engineering industries. As the Wilde group of companies expanded, Finite Elements Ltd  was subsequently renamed ‘Wilde & Partners Finite Elements Division’ and then ‘Wilde FEA Ltd’  before becoming Wilde Analysis in 2010. Subsequently, Wilde Analysis joined with another ANSYS channel partner, Analysis Design Productivity Ltd, and acquired 4-sight technical safety consultancy to further strengthen and grow through complementary services.

In 2021, Wilde Analysis joined PDSVISION Group, to become part of an international company with over 280 staff focused on helping clients digitally transform their engineering activities across Europe and the United States.

Today, Wilde Analysis continues to specialise in engineering simulation and technical risk management, including safety & reliability analysis and related design & optimisation technologies.
