Paul Gatland Joins Wilde’s Technical Safety & Reliability Team

Wilde is expanding its Associate team with the appointment of Engineering Safety, RAMS and System Assurance Specialist Paul Gatland.

Paul Gatland is a UK Chartered Electrical and Electronics Engineer with more than 30 years’ experience of working on complex projects including major railway programmes, and particularly in the areas of Safety, Maintainability, Availability, Reliability and Testability Engineering. He has worked successfully across many application sectors, such as railway signalling, mass transit, monorails, flight control and avionics, spacecraft control, marine propulsion control and military systems.

Paul’s experience covers projects for many major companies, both in the UK and overseas. These include Siemens Rail Automation, London Underground, Delta Rail, Tyco Integrated Systems, General Electric Transportation Systems (UK and US), Transport for NSW (Sydney, Australia), Rio Tinto (Australia), Invensys Rail, Halcrow Group Ltd, Rockwell Collins (Germany), Westinghouse Rail Systems Ltd, ALSTOM, Parsons Brinkerhoff Ltd, Silver Software Consultants Ltd, Swedish Space Corporation and LITEF GmbH (Germany) among others. He has proven capability in areas such as Safety Case authorship and RAMS and System Assurance team leadership, as well as specialist knowledge of a range of safety standards covering the rail, aerospace and defence sectors. Currently, he is providing the RAM and Safety Engineering tasks on the Network Rail Birmingham New Street Area Resignalling project.
