Positive Response to Wilde’s Simulation Solutions at ‘The Future of Forging Technologies’ Seminar

Over 70 delegates from metal forming industries attended ‘The Future of Forging Technologies’ seminar hosted by NAMTEC. The one day event, which was held on the 24 November, included presentations by industry leaders, including Wilde’s James Farrar, Strathclyde University, Sheffield Forgemasters, Firth Rixson, Imperial College and GFM GmbH Steyr.

The presentations focused on the latest developments in forging technology, with special interest being paid to open die forging, ring rolling, and GFM forging. All presenters recommended simulation as the key tool for their research & development into generating high quality forgings for aerospace and other applications.

Wilde Analysis also exhibited at the seminar and was delighted to receive a high level of interest in their manufacturing simulation solutions. Visitors showed particular interest in our DEFORM metal forming and heat treatment software as well as Wilde’s ANSYS CFD solutions for furnace modelling.
