CFD Flow Simulation & Visualisation for Built Environment
  • 11th June 2018
    1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

CFD is widely used by built environment engineers to evaluate pedestrian comfort, wind-channelling and other external flow air movement phenomena. Often these CFD simulations are performed using steady average wind-flow boundary conditions although there is growing interest in unsteady/time-dependent simulations with more advanced turbulence modelling to look at gusting and unstable flows. These are application areas that ANSYS will continue to push the boundaries with its traditional CFD software running on multiple CPUs.

If you are involved in these type of activities, then ANSYS has some exciting news for you.

By harnessing the power of cheaply-available GPU hardware, ANSYS is pleased to offer to the community real-time CFD flow simulation and visualisation for built environment external flow applications through the new Discovery Live software, priced from £2,100 + VAT per year.

Discovery Live delivers:

  • Geometry creation and clean-up for all typical CAD formats found in the built environment industry
  • Immediate time-dependent CFD results and flow visualisation using modest hardware resources
  • On-the-fly capability to investigate geometry change and their effects on the flow field
  • Outstanding ease of use

Join this webinar on Monday 11th June 2018  to be introduced to the capabilities of the newly released Discovery Live and to see the software in action on typical built environment external flow applications.
