Delegates are introduced to the scope and purpose of the DBA rules, basic concepts in pressure vessel design, ductile failure mechanisms and fatigue failure of welded structures. Pressure vessel DBA and International Institute of Welding guidelines are explained and practical design procedures such as stress linearisation and weld hot-spot stress procedures are described in detail.
Who Should Attend?
This seminar is aimed at finite element analysts who require a simple introduction to the analysis of Pressure Vessel components.
Experience Required
Delegates with limited experience of Finite Element Analysis may wish to consider the 2-day course entitled ‘FE Analysis of Pressure System Components’. This course runs for the two days preceding this course.
