Using ANSYS ED you can perform basic structural and thermal analyses, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), low and high frequency electromagnetics and optimization studies within a single product environment. ANSYS ED 10.0 also offers the new ANSYS Workbench product development with a product combination of DesignModeler for geometry creation and editing, Simulation for structural, thermal and electromagnetics analysis and DesignXplorer for design optimization studies, with some limitations (see chart for limitations).

Then, when you’re ready to step up to even more simulation power, you can easily upgrade your ANSYS ED product to higher-level ANSYS applications.
