Fluids-Based Manufacturing Simulation Consulting Services

Wilde has been involved in the analysis of manufacturing processes since 1997. Our current technical services team includes engineers with significant experience using simulation to optimise manufacturing processes. CFD will often provide the most accurate solution when the forming material essentially behaves as fluid during manufacture and can also be used to assess air or water flows around your components during heat treatment and cooling.

Overview

Typical applications of CFD in manufacturing simulation include:

  • Metals casting
  • Welding
  • Furnace performance
  • Water cooling
  • Food processing
  • Fluid dispensing
  • Glass production
  • Mixing and agitation processes

We can also use FEA methods to analyse Solids-Based (or High Viscosity) Manufacturing Processes such as bulk and sheet metal forming, plastic injection moulding, machining and microstructure development during heat treatment.
