Company History

In many industries, 30 years is perhaps not a significant milestone. However, as few engineering companies were benefiting from computer-based numerical modelling techniques in 1980, we believe that we have contributed to the analysis revolution from almost the start.

Wilde started in April 1980 involved in the knowledge transfer of FEA developments at the University of Swansea into commercial applications, and quickly became a consultant for the rapid growing nuclear industry. Since 1987, we have been a value-added reseller for leading commercial developers, and have supplied software, training and consulting to most engineering disciplines.

Originally called “Finite Elements Ltd”, the company was renamed ‘Wilde & Partners Ltd’ and then ‘Wilde FEA Ltd’ as the Wilde group expanded. In 2010, we became Wilde Analysis Ltd. to reflect our wider breadth of numerical methods, including FEA, CFD and Reliability Engineering.

Now established as a respected UK-based engineering software and services provider, we have served 1000 clients in very different markets – from automotive and aerospace to biomedical and construction.
